I have been all over the board while the magazine has been put on hiatus, but I am getting close to start packaging magazines up and distribute them. Issue #0 of Knowledge Arcana is sitting here on my desk pretty much finished. I still want to go over some final details, and some of the artwork had recently been pulled due to an oversight from the artist. Yeah, how did that get there? Sometimes I feel like a two by four, always one way or the other. But shoving the fact that I will probably not see my money again aside .. the magazine looks great! I have Issue #1 going through lay out and the content for issue #2 well thought out. So I have not just been sitting here with a web page looking pretty. You can download a copy of the Issue #0 preview right here: http://www.knowledgearcana.com/files/Issue_0_Sample.pdf As a matter of fact, you may have seen me working on OpenRPG. I am happy to see that OpenRPG is finally seeing some development again and that I am a part of that development. I have even decided to start my own little off shoot of OpenRPG called Traipse. Traipse is a distro of OpenRPG that designing to be simple for the average user, and yet have the facility for a developer to make edits and run with. I encourage users to check out the Traipse website! Learn about Traipse OpenRPG: Grumpy Goblin That is not all I have been doing either. The attorney issue should be dealt with in the next couple of months so I am going to have an influx of cash really soon. For that I have been preparing a budget and getting ready to request some artwork from artists again. The budget isn't finalized yet but I am saving up for some pretty artwork that will knock the socks off of readers, so I will probably start requesting artwork late this year or early next year. Yes, yes. I have been a busy bee and I have a lot to show for it. I am especially proud of what has happened with OpenRPG 1.7.8. I have been able to remove most of the bugs that users have been experiencing for the last year, and now with Traipse, which uses my 1.7.9 version and some patches, the user experience out of the box is simple and intuitive. I have been hearing some really good things from users of 1.7.8, so I am encourenging those same users to grab a copy of Traipse and see what it has. I don't want users to think that I am walking away with the software though, on the contrary. The updates I have in Traipse will see the Core OpenRPG and some of them are already in the dev trac. It won't be much longer before Knowledge Arcana hits the shelves again. XD I will keep you posted. |
