The newest build of 'Traipse' OpenRPG boasts more than stability over the other versions of OpenRPG.

Traipse OpenRPG proudly displays a strong set of tools that are both easy for any user to pick up, and supply great advancements over other versions of OpenRPG. The first on the list of advancements is the gametree.

Client Updates

The Traipse gametree has two new syntax methods that make it extremely easy to use and also very beneficial to game play. The first syntax method is a new method for using the customized PC Sheets that are created from the provided tools. The new syntax will allow users to take full advantage of already created PC sheets. The syntax to use the nodes is explained in detail in the included Features node.

But the true power of the gametree is the ability to use every node now. Grids, Lists, Text Nodes, all nodes. The new gametree recursion method is fast and accurate. With it you are allowed to reference data from grids and use references inside lists. This is a task that has not been done before. The new grid allows you to even reference from a random die roll. With this new feature added GMs can easily roll up random encounters or pull from a Deck of Many things.

The gametree now has a context sensitive Child Reference system and tree mapping system. This allows you to create a node which can reference a nearby node, or a child of a nearby node. With this new reference system it does not matter where the nodes are, as long as the reference remains in the same relative position. You can move your nodes any where on your tree and the new mapping system will assist in finding your node so you can pull it's data rapidly.

Stability

Traipse also continues in it's trend of being the most stable OpenRPG there is. Don't let the endorsements and titles of the other developers let you think you have the most stable version. Traipse is now easy to try without needing to patch Mercurial. A portable Mercurial is included in the installation process.

I didn't skimp on the little details either. The little things a user might find annoying, such as check marks that never checked, have all had a fine comb taken over them. Instead of removing what was broken in older OpenRPG versions, Traipse completes them.

Server Updates

The Traipse Server is by far the easiest server there is to setup and start running. Traipse finds all the data from your server_ini.xml file and uses it, even your choice of server Port. Just because a developer thinks everyone should be on one port doesn't mean you have too.

The Traipse Server GUI is now far more advanced than other OpenRPG forks. The server's player list is colourized, shows what room players are in, includes a page of all the rooms, and allows you to find needed information about the players on your server.

Update to Traipse

Traipse is the strongest OpenRPG fork there is. That is why the users of the software continually thank me, while the users of the other software versions continually ask for more.
